Map published in Dutch by John Melish, Philadelphia shows the Missouri Territory which includes present day Arkansas, and locates the mouths of the Arkansas (spelled Arkinsow) and St. Francis Rivers where Prospect Robbins and Joseph Brown, respectively, began the first survey of the American West in 1815. French (Fr) hunters are located near the mouth of present day Mulberry River.
