Biography:
 
Chad Cumming is a shareholder and director with Gill Ragon Owen, P.A. After growing up in Little Rock, Mr. Cumming earned his undergraduate degree at Westminster College, his teaching certification at the University of Texas at Arlington, and his master’s degree in Education Administration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Before entering the practice of law, he taught and held administrative positions in both public and parochial schools for ten years. Mr. Cumming graduated with honors from the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law and joined the Arkansas Bar in 2008.
 
Mr. Cumming’s practice focuses on the legal needs of Arkansas families and businesses. Mr. Cumming’s law practice has focused on structuring and documenting corporate and municipal finance transactions, asset acquisitions and dispositions, corporate law, securities offerings, and real estate development. His clients include real estate developers, small and medium private businesses, assisted living facilities, lenders, and public entities. Mr. Cumming is a certified loan closing attorney for Small Business Association loans and is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers.
 
Mr. Cumming’s legal practice also focuses on Education Law. This practice specifically includes the representation of families with children who have special needs, providing guidance and counsel in the acquisition of appropriate accommodations under the IDEA and Section 504 of the ADA as well as services during transition to adulthood, such as guardianship and special needs trusts. Mr. Cumming chairs the Gill Law Firm’s Education Law Practice Group, and he is a member of the Arkansas School Board Association and the Council of School Attorneys.
 
Mr. Cumming has served as past chairman of the Board of Trustees for Camp Mitchell and served on the Executive Council for the Episcopal Diocese of Arkansas. He currently serves as chairman of the Pinnacle Leads Group at the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and provides education and advocacy to a variety of support groups focused on the needs of children with disabilities. Chad and his wife Jennifer have two children, and they attend St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Little Rock.
