Biography
Dylan H. PottsMr. Potts is a director and shareholder with Gill Elrod Ragon Owen & Sherman, P.A. Mr. Potts is a Little Rock native, educated at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas and The University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. In law school, Mr. Potts was a member of the National Trial Team and was a finalist in the Southeastern Regional Trial Team Competition. After serving as a Deputy Public Defender for the Eleventh-West Judicial District, Mr. Potts joined Gill Elrod Ragon Owen & Sherman, P.A. in July of 2002. Mr. Potts' practice focuses on commercial litigation with significant experience in employment law, administrative law and construction litigation. Mr. Potts has significant jury trial experience and has served as Special Judge for Little Rock District Court.
Mr. Potts chairs the Employment Practices Group at Gill Elrod Ragon Owen & Sherman, P.A., representing a variety of corporate entities in all aspects of employment law throughout Arkansas. Mr. Potts routinely litigates employment actions including defending companies sued directly by the EEOC. He has represented employers in all aspects of the EEOC charge process including mediation, on-site investigations, and conciliation and has defended companies facing Department of Labor charges for both Family Medical Leave Act violations and Fair Labor Standards Act violations.
Mr. Potts works daily with managers on compliance and policy issues including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Mr. Potts and his wife, Angie, have a daughter, Caroline, and two sons, Christian and Jude.
