Biography
Heartsill Ragon, IIIMr. Ragon is a shareholder and director of Gill Elrod Ragon Owen & Sherman, P.A. Mr. Ragon was educated at Washington and Lee University and University of Arkansas School of Law. Mr. Ragon previously served as corporate counsel for Fairfield Communities, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed corporation with resort developments and master planned communities across the nation. His practice focuses on the structuring and documentation of sophisticated financial and commercial transactions; the representation of governmental entities, underwriters, trustees and bond purchasers in connection with tax-exempt bond offerings; the representation of issuers of private placement securities; and the representation of sellers and purchasers of business ventures. He additionally represents resort development companies across the nation in connection with their land sales registration activities and the documentation of their Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act registration activities and the documentation of their timeshare, condominium and subdivision regimes. Mr. Ragon is a past chairman of the Business Law Section of the Arkansas Bar Association, is a director of the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority, and has been recognized by Chambers and Partners for inclusion in its listing of nationally recognized corporate and commerical attorneys.
